The bizarreness of Indian daily soaps is unmatched, and from time to time one or the other scene from a show becomes the butt of memes on social media.

From a woman worshipping the Mona Lisa to a crazy husband putting cockroaches in a glass of milk - Indian television has shown us all. Now, a scene from another daily soap opera is blowing people's minds.

The clip from the serial Swaran Ghar is the physics we were never taught. Screengrab/Twitter

A clip from the show Swaran Ghar features the lead characters, Swaran (played by Sangita Ghosh) and Ajit Lamba (played by Ajay Chaudhary).

The incomprehensible scene sees the female lead, Swaran, throw her dupatta across her shoulders only for it to accidentally get stuck in a nearby fan. The stuck dupatta begins to choke her as the noose tightens around her neck. The male lead, Ajit, is then seen crying out for help, which never arrives. A woman in the scene can be seen trying to switch off the fan but she, too, fails to do so. Swaran continues to struggle making the scene extremely dramatic.

Understandably, it is the lead actor's moment to be the hero - it just had to be him. So, what does he do? Naturally, the male actor bites off the dupatta in order to help Swaran escape. Isn't that Oscar-worthy?

People have been left struggling to make sense of the science-defying scene

Last month, a scene from a Bengali soap opera showed a woman worshipping Mona Lisa.

The ridiculous scene shows a woman worshipping a portrait of the Mona Lisa and putting a garland around it. If that wasn't enough, she goes on to light some incense sticks and continues worshipping the portrait.

We're just not sure what is going on, and it would help if the makers of the show could enlighten us about the logic or the lack of it behind this show.
